Myth-buster:
➡️ Junior high students don’t enjoy being read to.
❌ FALSE! 🚫
Superintendent Amy Peterman had a wonderful visit at Blaker-Kinser Junior High, where she read a passage from “Baseball in April” to Dr. Carrie Emerick’s students. 📖⚾️
Students also shared favorite quotes from books they reviewed for the #CUSDreads Superintendent’s Book Club and gifted Dr. Peterman an amazing poster listing some of the reasons they love to read:
💭 "Reading is like a dream. It takes you away from your problems."
📖 "Leer me calma." (Reading calms me down.)
🧠 "Reading helps keeping my mind sharp and building empathy."
❤️ "Reading is wonderful!"
Thank you, Sharks. Keep reading! 🦈📚🙌 #BKsharksRead #CUSDReads #LeadersRead #TheCeresWay
