Students and staff at Patricia Kay Beaver Leadership Magnet are wearing pink this month to support #BreastCancerAwareness. It's a cause close to the hearts of Beaver Builders, as the former Ceres teacher for whom their school is named lost her life to the disease.

A limited supply of flu vaccines is also available for CUSD families, caregivers and staff.
Recently, CUSD partnered with architects and school construction experts to assess the condition of our local school facilities. The resulting Facilities Master Plan highlighted that upgrades are needed to security cameras, radios, and security systems at all schools. City and School 2+2+2 meetings are an opportunity for City of Ceres and CUSD leaders to regularly discuss and collaborate on issues of mutual interest. Topics of today’s meeting included future development, budget updates, and a recap of the Crosstown Showdown Parade and planning for 2024. The meetings are called 2+2+2 because the city manager and superintendent, plus two City Council members, plus two CUSD Board members attend. Voters in neighboring communities have passed school facility improvement bond measures to repair and upgrade their aging schools.
