Varsity: Central Valley 11, Lathrop 1

As the schedule begins to toughen up, the Hawks continue to accelerate right through it.  CV traveled to Lathrop yesterday and made a statement with a mercy rule win over a playoff caliber team.  The Hawks are now 5-0 in WAC play and have won 6 of 7 taking a ton of momentum into the NorCal Classic tournament in Tracy over Spring Break.  The Hawks were led by Selah Chesney (3-4, 3B, 4 runs), Reylena Herrera (3-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Gaby Delatorre (3-3, 2B, 5 RBI, 2 runs), and Brooklynn Steeley (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI).  Brooklynn also took care of business on mound throwing a complete game, allowing just 4 hits, 1 unearned run and 5 K’s.  CV is tied for 1st place with Ceres (6-0).  After the NorCal Tournament in Tracy next week, the Hawks return to WAC play on Monday, April 13th at Beyer.
