CV Stunt Cheer

SJS DII Playoffs: Central Valley 20, Union Mine 8

The Hawks did not disappoint in their first ever stunt cheer playoff appearance as CV dazzled the home crowd to the tune of a 20-8 victory!  After an undefeated league season, the VOL Champion Hawks earned the #6 seed in Division II and defended their home court advantage.  CV will now advance to the Quarterfinals which will take place this Friday at Galt High School.  The #6 Hawks will fall into the underdog role for the first time this season as they will take on the #3 seed Roseville High.  All 4 Quarterfinal games will take place at the same site and on the same day, which is this Friday.  The Hawks game will be the opener of the day as #6 CV will play the #3 Roseville Tigers at 10:00am.  The winning team will advance to the DII Semi-Finals/Finals Round which are scheduled for this Saturday, May 3rd at Galt High.  Good luck to our CV Stunt team!

 

Baseball

Varsity: Central Valley 17, Grace Davis 4

JV: Central Valley 11, Grace Davis 0

In one of their final tune-ups before playoff action, the Hawks reminded everyone why they secured the WAC title as they dominated the Grace Davis Spartans yesterday with a 17-4 win.  Chris Garcia tossed 3 scoreless innings and struck out 8 in his final appearance before next week’s playoffs.  The offensive star of the day was Edgar Peralta who picked up 3 hits, including a triple and 4 RBI.  CV will look to close out the regular season on a high note as they wrap up league play tomorrow at Grace Davis at 4:00pm.  The Hawks are now 19-8 overall, 13-0 in WAC.  The JV Hawks also picked up another league win and are also WAC Champions this season!  The JV team defeated the Spartans 11-0 and are now 19-7 overall and 13-0 in WAC play
