What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It’s a school-wide framework aimed at improving student behavior, creating a positive school climate, and enhancing academic outcomes.
Instead of focusing only on punishing bad behavior, PBIS emphasizes teaching and rewarding positive behaviors. Schools that implement PBIS use consistent expectations, proactive strategies, and data to support students socially, emotionally, and academically.
Achieving Gold Level means Carroll Fowler Elementary has shown strong implementation of PBIS practices and has seen real, measurable success in student behavior and school climate. It's a big deal and a sign of an exceptional school community!
