World Kindness Day is a global observance dedicated to promoting and celebrating acts of kindness. This day serves as a reminder of the positive impact that kindness can have on individuals, communities, and the world at large. It encourages people to perform intentional acts of kindness and foster a culture of
compassion and generosity. At Chavez, we will celebrate World Kindness Day by asking students and staff to reflect on what kind acts others have done for them and what they could do for others. Together, we can make a difference!

With heartfelt appreciation to those who have served, those who continue to serve, and to their families who have also sacrificed. 🇺🇸 #VeteransDay2023

All schools and offices in the Ceres Unified School District will be closed in observance of the Veterans Day holiday on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023. 🇺🇸

Last week, we celebrated Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, which is a holiday that is traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2 and is observed by people of Mexican heritage. This holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respect to loved ones who have died. Students and staff were invited to bring a picture of their loved ones to display on the ofrenda table.

Who's ready for an extra hour of sleep? 🖐️ Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. Clocks on most cell phones and smart watches will automatically reset tonight. Remember to set non internet-connected clocks back an hour before you go to bed. ⏰ 💤 #FallBack

Because the State does not provide complete or reliable funding for facilities, schools cannot maintain safe learning environments that meet current instructional standards without a local funding source. In order to complete identified repairs and improvements across all school sites, the CUSD Board of Trustees is considering placing a local bond measure on the ballot next year for local voters to consider. To learn more, please visit www.ceres.k12.ca.us/page/facilities-upgrades.
