Head Start Program

Head Start is a federally funded program that serves low income families and children with disabilities.

Early Head Start serves children ages 6 weeks, up to 3 years old.

Regional Head Start serves children between the ages of 3 to 5.

    • Priority is based on a point system, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Eligibility extends only to families whose income is equal to or less than the income guidelines.
    • Priority is given to children who reside in the Ceres Unified School District attendance boundaries.

Required documentation for applying:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Most recent income tax return and current month’s income for each parent working
  • TANF or SSI Statement (if applicable)
  • Immunizations
  • Proof of address
  • Copy of IEP/IFSP (if applicable)
