Volunteer Application Process
To enhance the safety and well-being of CUSD students, the District will continue implementing a new volunteer approval process.
The District will require all school volunteers to have an approved application on file. Previously approved supervised volunteers do not need to fill out another application for the 2015-2016 school year unless informed otherwise. Unserpervised volunteers will need to fill out new applications every year.

School Choice and Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
If you received a letter regarding the Program Improvement status of your child’s school, your child may be eligible to take advantage of School Choice and Supplemental Educational Services (SES).
If your child’s school is in Year 1 or above in Program Improvement, you have the option of transferring your child to a school that is not identified for improvement. Click here for more information on School Choice.
If your child’s school is in Year 2 or above in Program Improvement, your child may be eligible to receive free tutoring. Click here for more information on Supplemental Educational Services (SES).
Dental Check-ups Required for Your Child
California law (Education Code Section 49452.8) states your child must have a dental check-up by May 31 of his/her first year in public school. A California licensed dental professional operating within their scope of practice must perform the check-up and fill out Section 2 of the Oral Health Assessment Form. If your child had a dental check-up in the 12 months before he/she starts school, ask your dentist to fill out Section 2. If you are unable to get a dental check-up for your child, fill out Section 3. Return this form to the school no later than May 31 of your child’s
first school year.

2015-2016 Request for Intra (Within Ceres) / Inter District Agreement (form and procedures) - (Spanish) and the Request To Rescind School Enrollment Through An Intradistrict Agreement - (Spanish) forms are now available.
These forms are provided by the Child Welfare and Attendance Department.
After School Program Information and more...
The CUSD Educational Options Department provides academic intervention and recreation programs to 2nd through 8th grade students during the after school program, commonly known as ASES and AIP. High school students are also provided classes after school to earn credits toward graduation through the Academic Extended Day Program and Ceres Adult School.
