CUSD Instructional Norms
Research shows that one of the most important considerations as an educator is keeping students engaged in the learning and actively engaged in processing the information being taught. Students need to practice and be involved in higher-level activities. Thus, good instruction checks on learning. This involves a considerable amount of interaction between the students, the teacher, and the content. The following research-based practices are the student engagement strategies and checking for understanding methods that CUSD has committed to as a district.
